A majestic construction, Térénez Bridge spans the Aulne to link the Crozon peninsula with the rest of Finistère.
Five hundred and fifteen metres long, this suspension bridge was built to replace the old existing bridge affected by irreparable concrete spalling.
Opened in 2011, this exceptional work is an impressive construction. The first curved cable-stayed bridge in France; it is the pride of the region's inhabitants. It even holds the world record for its curved cable-stayed span. Using such a design meant that protected natural areas and species of the Aulne Valley could be preserved.
You can find the full history of the Térénez Bridge in various books combining texts and photos. Preferably after you've visited it of course!
